Working with Tracking Numbers for Web Orders

Steps for Adding a Tracking Number to a Web Order

  1. Go to Orders in the admin toolbar in the upper left.
  2. You can use the Date tools and/or the Search area to find the order with which you want to work. If you have the Transaction ID, you can enter it into the search and the order will load.
  3. Click the Transaction ID to open the Order.
  4. Make sure the Order is in a Fulfillment status of In Process. You can advance to this status by clicking the Update button in the Fulfillment area.

  1. Click the Update button for the Shipping area.
  2. Under Manual Order Tracking, click the upper drop-list and select the carrier you used for the shipment.

  1. Enter the Tracking Number in the Tracking Number field.

  1. Click Mark as Shipped. As soon as you click this button, the customer will be emailed a message about the order status change and including a link to the carrier where they can check the status of the shipment. You will be able to see the Tracking ID whenever you click Update for the Shipping area.
