You can set Condition levels for your products whether they are standard or serialized items by turning this function on in the appropriate area. This article details how to activate this function and how to work with it in your standard inventory as well as your serialized inventory.
You can get to this part of the system by clicking on the Admin Button in the upper right, then click Settings > POS Settings > Products.
Item Condition - If you toggle this setting to ON, you will be offered a list of different Item Conditions for your serialized items. Check the boxes next to each you might want to use for your serialized inventory.
You can get to this part of the system by clicking on Products > Products and then searching for the product you want, then click on the product Title to open it.
Please note that activating the above feature will change the way the pricing for your serialized products is handled and will give you individual fields for each condition level, as pictured below. This feature also works with the Website Pricing (if you have that activated using the Show Web Price Input Field in Product Module setting above). And you can see how that shows up in the Inventory tab for your Serialized items, as pictured below.
Your standard inventory (non-serialized) will have a drop-list available in the main Product Information tab of the product (the first tab, with the Title and Prices), just below the prices listed for the item. If you have different condition levels for a non-serialized product, you will need to create separate copies of the product for each of the different condition levels. Finishing the first one and then using Save & Duplicate and just changing the Prices and Condition and probably putting the condition in the Title as well is a good way to handle used or damaged inventory.
Please note that in your Product settings under the Admin Button in the upper right (Settings > Website Settings > Products) there is an area where you can set Item Condition to be ON for your non-serialized inventory and you can also set Item Condition Default, as pictured below. This is the condition level that each new product you create will start with by default.
Save Your Work! Please note that after you have adjusted your settings, you need to find the green Save button at the bottom of the screen and click it or the system will not keep the changes you made!
