What does this do?

This feature offers an effortless solution – an automated product feed URL ready for direct integration with Facebook or Instagram for their catalog functions (Please note - this does not integrate with Shop on Facebook or Instagram, it will network links to your website store). Say goodbye to the time-consuming manual task of uploading product spreadsheets. Our catalog sync does it all for you! Just connect the generated URL to your Product Catalog Sync settings on Facebook and/or Instagram, and watch as your products are effortlessly shared via this URL.

 

How do I turn this on?

If you have the Marketing Package, this feature will be an option for you to activate. Enabling this within your system is really easy. Simply follow these steps:

• Within your system, click your Profile icon on the top right.
• Click on the option for Settings.
• While viewing your settings, click on the option for Integrations.
• Under the Channels section, you should see an area for "Facebook/Instagram Catalog Sync".
• Click the toggle to enable this feature and provide you a file link. (We update this link nightly)
• You can then use this link by clicking the copy symbol and pasting this into a new tab. Downloading your product feed spreadsheet file so it can be uploaded into Facebook or Instagram.

 

Which products will be included?

In order for a product to be included in this sync file, there are a couple of requirements. The product must:

• Be available on the website. (This means that any product marked with the Available setting of "Point of Sale" will not by synced)
• Have a short description and/or a Long Description
• Have an image assigned
• Have at least one of the following: Manufacturer, Manufacturer ID, UPC
• Products with size and/or color (colour) variants (see below)
• If it is serialized, it must NOT use condition levels such as Brand New, Used, etc.

 

Style and Variation Data

Products with sizes and/or colors (colours) can utilize the specialized configuration on Facebook/Instagram which displays size/color options on one main product page for an easier shopping experience. For other types of variants, each variant value/combination will be sent over as its own product listing, with the specific variant info appended to the end of the title.

 

What information will be included in the file?

In order to accurately update your information, this file will include these pieces of data from your products:

• Product Title
• Short Description
• Long Description (only if the Short Description is empty)
• Availability status
• Inventory Count
• Inventory Condition (The condition will be set to "new" unless otherwise specified on the product)
• Price
• Sale Price
• Link (This will contain a link to the product on your website)
• Product Image
• Manufacturer
• Manufacturer ID
• UPC

 

Connection Information

This URL will be updated daily so your Facebook and Instagram pages can seamlessly display your latest products. Your audience will stay in the loop with your ever-expanding inventory, driving more engagement and potential sales.

 

Linking Back to Your Website

By integrating with Facebook and Instagram, your products will be directly linked back to your website, providing a smooth and convenient purchasing experience for your customers.

 

Additional Information

1. Clicking the "Include Out of Stock Items" setting will make it so your product feed sync includes products that do not have any "in-stock" inventory.
2. If a product is saved with the "Unlimited Web Inventory" toggle turned on, then the product will be considered "in stock".
3. Reserved Inventory will not count as "in-stock" inventory.
