The Text Communications module is crafted to help you manage and analyze your text messaging data effectively, while also providing transparency on text messaging fees. This module provides a comprehensive view of both inbound and outbound text messages.
Go to Marketing > Communications. On the Communications module page, click on the Text History tab at the top.
The upper area of the tab has filters for you that will help you view the text messages you want:
Date Filter – Use the date picker to select your desired time range. The default setting is This Month.
Direction Filter – Choose between Inbound, Outbound, or Both.
Area Filter – Multi-select filter displaying the modules and areas of the system where you can send or receive text messages.
Click the Apply button to apply the filters and update the contents of the page.
Just below the filters, a summary section will display total texts, total outbound, total inbound, and total segments for the selected date range.
For the filters you've set, your text messages and their data is arranged for you in a table. If you have a large number of messages, you can use the Search field to find the messages you want. Here is the data in the table:
Date Column – Shows the date and time the text was sent or received.
Recipients Column – Displays the number of recipients or Store if the text was received. Clicking on the recipient count will open a popup displaying all customers who received the message along with their basic information, as pictured below.
Direction Column – Indicates if the text was Inbound or Outbound.
Area Column – Displays the module or area from which the text was sent.
Message Column – Shows the text message with a tooltip for longer texts.
