You can get to this part of the system by clicking the + Create New button at the top and in the drop-list, click Product. You can also go to Website and click on Categories, then click on the Category you want (or create one) and finally click New Product.
There are several ways to get products on your web pages. Here are the three different primary modules for your products, and they can be added to any page of your website:
If you don't already have a page on your site where your visitors will go to start shopping, you can create one by clicking on Website and then Navigation. In your Navigation menu, click to create a New Navigation Item. You will want choice number two: New Web Page, and you will be prompted to add the Link Text for the title as it will appear in your website Navigation. You will want to do the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Title and SEO Description so that the search engines can properly index the page and give you the best results from the start.
Once you have your shopping page in your Navigation list click on the page title to go to the new page. At the top, click on +Add Content, and in the drop-list, click Add Body Content.
In the list of different types of content modules you can choose from, scroll down until you see the gray box for the different Products modules. Click the Add button for the Products module.
If you don't yet see any categories or products, that means you haven't yet set any of your products to display on the website. You can do so by going to Inventory > Products and searching for the product you want. Once you have it, click on the title of the product to open it in the Edit Product view, and below the Product Title, set Availability to include Website instead of only Point of Sale. The product will also need to be in a Category to appear on the website, and you can add it to as many Categories as you like on the Website Settings tab.
As you add products, they will automatically display on the site if you set them to do so as listed above.
This module is an excellent way to improve your website marketing. You can feature any products already entered in the system, and it is quite easy to change them out to keep your features fresh.
There is no limit to how many products you feature, and it can be quite effective to have more than one row of products displayed this way. You can add this module to any page you like, multiple times with different products if you like, from the Edit Website view (under Website > Website Editor) at the top click +Add Content > Add Body Content and then click the Add button for the Featured Products module in the list.
To enter products, you can either scan a barcode into the search field or enter keywords to choose from a drop-list.
You can use the icon at the bottom of each icon to drag-and-drop them into a different order, if needed. It is best to add products in multiples of 4, as that is the maximum number of products that will display in a row.
This is another module that can add impact and results to your online marketing efforts. This module allows you to feature entire categories of products, so for example, if you get a new product line or collection in stock, you can add those products into a category and very easily feature them on any page of your website using this module.
You can easily add as many categories as you like by clicking to add them one at a time Add Category button. You will see a list of all categories currently set up in the system in your Products module and simply clicking on the one you want will add it to the active list. This works ideally if the category has an image added already; if you don't have an image for a category you want to feature, it is highly recommended you go to Website > Categories, click on the blue pencil for the category you want, and add either a Jpeg or PNG image of at least 400 pixels to represent that group of products.
Just as with your Featured Products, you will want to add these in multiples of 4, as that is the maximum number that will display in a single row.
